Magister Giotto

  • Magister Giotto - Adorazione dei Magi

HIGHLIGHT

On the occasion of the 750th anniversary of his birth, come and discover Magister Giotto. This immersive, unique and surprising experience will for the first time bring you closer to the most hidden meanings of the masterpieces of this great artist. A tale of words, music and images with the extraordinary participation of Luca Zingaretti and Paolo Fresu. In Venice from 13 July to 5 November 2017.

DESCRIPTION:

The exhibition unfolds through seven spaces of a great perceptive impact, with scenographic reconstructions and illusory visions. The technology placed at the service of art offers an unprecedented experience to all visitors, in which details, events, broader intervals are highlighted and enhanced to help convey the most hidden meaning of one of the most fascinating revolutions in art history.
To accompany the visit, there is an exciting narrative lasting 45 minutes. A mix of music, words, visual impressions that through the voice of actor Luca Zingaretti and the soundtrack made for the occasion by the jazz-player Paolo Fresu will, from work to work, reveal the extraordinary novelty of Giotto’s art.
The Franciscan history of Assisi, the Scrovegni Chapel in Padua, the majestic Crucifixes and the other works made in Florence run through the narrative, which ends with the Giotto Mission in 1986, created by the European Space Agency, which for the first time in history intercepted the Halley Comet, painted by Giotto in the Adoration of the Magi in the Scrovegni Chapel, Padua.
